Exemption—Persons affected with leprosy
If you have Hansen's Disease and are confined because of the illness, you may qualify for an exemption from real property taxes on your real property, up to but not exceeding a taxable value of $25,000. This is in addition to your regular home exemption. If you are on a temporary release status, you can retain your exemption during that period.
Claims for this special exemption must be filed on form E-8-10.6 and E-8-10.7 on or before September 30.
