Exemption—Public service
A public service company may receive a property tax exemption for any real property it owns or leases and actually uses for its public‑service operations. Only the portion used for the company’s primary public‑service purpose qualifies; any non‑qualifying portion is taxed proportionally, but the eligible portion keeps the exemption and may still qualify for other exemptions if applicable.
