Exemption—Public property
Public property may qualify for an exemption from real property taxes, with taxes instead assessed to private tenants or occupants when government‑owned land is leased, used commercially, or held under agreements for future conveyance. Additional exemptions include land subject to eminent domain, property taken into possession for future public use, parcels rendered unusable by setback requirements, and any property exempt under federal or other applicable laws.
